New Year, New Life
Wow, as 2007 closes out and 2008 begins, I really am starting a new life. Next week I will leave my comfort zone that I’ve made here in Oklahoma, and begin a new chapter in my life in Illinois. I’m leaving family and friends nearby and starting over again. This time I will be beginning a new life with a man I dearly love and trust with my life. I know in my heart that it will be a really good thing, but unknowns always are a little frightening to me! Let’s face it, I’m not getting any younger and, sometimes, I just don’t have the energy I once had. Change, even good change, takes more adaptation than it once did.
The world is full of what ifs? and I try not to dwell on and live my life by those. I remain the same person a college professor of mine described all those many years ago as a “tortured optimist”.
Wish me well, and God speed!
